Poema escolhido:

Even after the hurt

The loss

The pain

The breaking

Your body is still

The only one

I want to be

Undressed under

Intertexto:

When I was reading Milk and Honey and saw this poem, I remembered a song by Selena Gomez that I really like called “Back to you”. In the poem the writer says that even after all the pain that the person has brought to her, she didn´t want anyone else other than the one who hurt her, just like in the part of the song that I chose, where the singer states that the person could break her heart in two, that even she should still in love with.

Back to you

Selena Gomez

Took you like a shot

Thought that I could chase you with the cold evening

Let a couple years water down how I’m feeling about you

And every time we talk

Every single word builds up to this moment

And I gotta convince myself I don’t want it even though I do

You could break my heart in two

But when it heals, it beats for you

I know it’s foward, but it’s true

My production is a poem that I wrote which brings doubt and guilty for still loving someone who hurt you. It’s called Void.

Void

Could I judge myself for missing you?

even knowing you were the one who chose to go

how many nights have I found myself thinking

if everything was different...

if I were different.

Would you have chosen to stay?

Do you still remeber me?

‘cause I remembered all the promises you made to me

and what that hurts the most

is waiting them to be  fulfilled

I thought I’d win something by letting you go

I won the void.
